What does Quran mainly talk about?

The Qur'an is the last and final revelation from Almighty God Allah. It is a message with complete guidance for the entire humanity revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Glorious Qur’an is the ultimate beacon of guidance covering all aspects of everyday human life. It is a treasure of divine knowledge and wisdom that made an unparalleled influence on human civilization and history bringing positive transformation in the lives of millions of human beings over since its revelation more than 1400 years ago.

• QURAN AND SCIENCE

Quran talks about science in great detail. The Qur’an is not a book of science but a book of 'signs', i.e., ayats. There are more than six thousand ‘signs’ in the Qur’an of which more than a thousand deal with science. Some examples are:

1. ASTRONOMY CREATION OF THE UNIVERSE: 'THE BIG BANG'.

The Qur’an contains the following verse, regarding the origin of the universe: "Do not the Unbelievers see That the heavens and the earth Were joined together (as one Unit of Creation), before We clove them asunder?" [Al-Qur'an 21:30]

THE SPHERICAL SHAPE OF THE EARTH
The following verse also alludes to the spherical shape of the earth: "He created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): He makes the Night Overlap the Day, and the Day Overlap the Night.” [Al-Qur’an 39:5]

2. PHYSICS

THE EXISTENCE OF SUBATOMIC PARTICLES
"The Unbelievers say, ‘Never to us will come The Hour’: say, ‘Nay! But most surely, by my Lord, it will come Upon you – by Him Who knows the unseen – From Whom is not hidden The least little atom In the Heavens or on earth: Nor is there anything less Than that, or greater, but Is in the Record Perspicuous.’" [Al-Qur’an 34:3]

3. EMBRYOLOGY

EMBRYONIC STAGES
"Man, We did create From a quintessence (of clay); Then We placed him As (a drop of) sperm In a place of rest, firmly fixed; Then We made the sperm Into a clot of congealed blood; Then of that clot We made A (fetus) lump; then We Made out of that lump Bones and clothed the bones With flesh; then We developed Out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, The Best to create!" [Al-Qur’an 23:12-14]

4. HISTORICAL FACTS

QURAN MENTIONS MANY HISTORICAL FACTS THAT WERE RECENTLY EXPLORED

Quran mentions several historical facts which were later discovered to be 100% correct. Allah says regarding the Pharoah, the Egyptian king during the time of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) who rejected his message from God in Surah Yunus Chapter 10 Verse 92:

So today We will save you in body1 that you may be to those who succeed you a sign. And indeed, many among the people, of Our signs, are heedless.

PROPHECIES
QURAN MENTIONS MANY PROPHECIES THAT WERE LATER FULFILLED

Allah says in Surah Rum Chapter 30 Verses 1-4:

Alif, Lam, Meem

The Byzantines have been defeated
In the nearest land. But they, after their defeat, will overcome Within three to nine years. To Allah belongs the command [i.e., decree] before and after. And that day the believers will rejoice.

This prophecy came true as Romans who were defeated as if they will never rise again became victorious in few years.

  • QURAN HAS SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEMS OF MANKIND

Quran has the perfect solutions for the problems of mankind. Since All-Mighty God Allah is the Creator of everything, it is imperative that He knows what is best for his creation. Allah says in Surah Ibrahim Chapter 14 Verse 1:

Alif, Lam, Ra [This is] a Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that you might bring mankind out of darknesses into the light by permission of their Lord - to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy.

It has perfect solutions to the problems and crimes faced in society. One such example is the execution of the murderer:

One of the teachings of the Qur'an which guides to that which is best is qisaas (retaliatory execution), because if a person gets angry and wants to kill someone else, but then he remembers that if he kills him, he will be killed (executed) in return, he will fear the consequences and thus will refrain from killing him. So, the one whom he wanted to kill will live, and he himself will also live, because he did not kill him and was not killed in retaliation. And executing the killer will result in saving the lives of many people, whose number no one knows except Allah.

Allah, may He be exalted, says in Surah al Baqarah Chapter 2 Verse 179:

"And there is (a saving of) life for you in Al-Qisaas (retaliatory execution), O men of understanding, that you may become Al-Muttaqoon (the pious)". Undoubtedly this is one of the most equitable and fair of ways, and thus it has been noted throughout the world, in the past and at present, how little murder occurs in countries that are ruled in accordance with the Book of Allah, because qisaas is a deterrent to the crime of murder, as Allah says in the verse quoted above.

The Glorious Qur’an is the most positive book in the world, it is a proclamation to humanity, it is a fountain of mercy and wisdom, it is a guide to the erring, it is a warning to the heedless, an assurance to those in doubt, it is a solace to the suffering and it is a hope to those in despair.
